Here is a Post-War rarity from the middle 1950s: a Mint Lionel #6342 Culvert Gondola in a Seperate-Sale box. This Rare 56+ Late Classic Box is square and solid with ALL flaps firmly attached and is in (8+) Condition. There is however one issue on one end of the box; an "old" piece of Scotch-tape was placed over the exterior of the lip as a precautionary measure to avoid tearing (clearly shown in two of the pictures). The lip had the beginning of a small 1/4-inch tear; this same piece of tape also covers the number "6342". With caution, the tape can be removed with low-speed and high-heat from a good hair dryer; we decided to leave that procedure to the new owner. Also note this gondola has TWO box variations; this particular box is the example that has the word "CULVERT" re-marked on the end flaps. All Original in Our Opinion. Please add $25.00 for US-48 Shipping and Insurance. |
