Odd Lionel Prototype for #2328 Burlington GP Diesel/OB

This is the #2328 Burlington GP Diesel that Lionel made in 1955. We believe this is an early pre-production sample with "2328" paper labels on the numberboards, which is EXACTLY the way this Engine was pictured in the 1955 Advance and Consumer Catalogs. The Two Front Number-Boards have the Paper Labels, the rear two Number Boards had them, but at some point they were scrapped off. There is no indication that any of the number boards have ever been removed. Our Opinion is that it is generally in Excellent Condition, very nice silver. The Original Box is in (9) Condition. All Original in our Opinion. We are absolutely confident in the authenticity of the piece. Because of the "uniqueness" of this item, we will also grant the buyer a 30-day return period if not completely satisfied. Please add $25.00 for US-48 Shipping and Insurance.
