This is a relatively scarce Uncataloged #215 Santa Fe Alco A Diesel that Lionel made in middle 1960s; offered in Uncataloged Sets as either a single A unit or paired with a 212T Santa Fe when offered in an AA combination. This example is the variation identified with with the complete built date showing as "BLT 8-57 / BY LIONEL". Exceptionally Scarce in this condition; correct chassis with unbroken coupler strut and perfect decal. Our Opinion is that it is generally in Mint Condition, no signs of use but minor signs of age and handling (box rubs). An original component box does NOT exist. All Original in our Opinion.
